Spring Break!!!

Destin Beach--Oh so Beautiful!!

Well, my Spring Break has been pretty awesome. The best part, was being able to go camping in Destin FL at the a state park. I went along with my roomate Henry and a small group from the Pure Life Ministry. It was really relaxed and laid back...I enjoyed it. Well, let me tell you about the whole week in order.

Well, first off...my spring break started like on a Thursday evening. I dont have any classes on Fridays, so it was really nice to have that time off. That Friday night we had D-Now with the youth group. We stayed at host homes and watched the videos/worksheets at the church. It went pretty well: the picture to the right is Jake doing something crazy... Im not sure of what. Then the next day, was the Josh McDowell and Superchick conference thingy. It went really well.
I was there all day...from 10:40am till about 11pm. It was all still fun. I had the oppurtunity to spray paint my name on the side of one Superchick's speaker cabinets. Mr. Nowlen and I were asked to pull the fuzz felt that was left over on this certain cabinet. This was a complete pain in the rear end, along with a waste of time.

You really couldnt tell a difference if the fuzzy felt pieces were left on there or not. So, once they were off we started to spray paint it black to match the other black cabinet. Well, as I was working on it, I thought it would be cool to spray my name on there (Dan Lloyd). Well I did, and really cant see it that well, but its there...I showed it to Todd, you can ask him.

Well, then we had the Celebration of True Love,
which went really well. It was totally awesome how Pure Life presented such a good message to the kids. Denise did a great job of job showing her passion for a Godly relationships, mostly having a relationship with God being the number one goal. It was fun to play "Pink Tux" and dress like we were from the 80's. There seemed to be a lot of kids recieving and retaining a lot good and solid information/concepts this past weekend. Well here are some pictures:

Well, then I went home for a little while.
I got to see my sister's new horse
(my parents are leasing a horse for her right now). She really new how to ride and controle that horse. I thought it was kind of funny how she really new how to take care of that horse. If he would start moving away while she was cleaning him, she would just simply push him right back.
So then, I got to look at drum sets with my little brother. Ive been trying to encourage him to just buy one...he already has like 700 dollars saved up from like the past 3 years. It just to hard for him to understand how much he would enjoy that "Pearl Exports" Drum set. Well then after a stayed home for a day, I very quickly drove back to Tallahassee for highschool bible study.

The next morning, I got real early to go camping at 10am. Well after I was up and all ready go at like 9:15 Henry called me and said that we were not going to leave until noon. I was kind of iritated. But

whatever. We left and had a lot of fun. The first night, we set camp and went to the beach to hang out. The water was so beautiful, but it was still kind of cold for swimming.

We got to have chili the first night, it was quite good. Then we ate some Somore's...somore of what? The group was a lot of fun to hang out with. I really enjoyed getting to know these really interestingly diverse people. Its just so neat to hang out with other Christians... it is so encouraging.

The camp fire fire is so interesting. I found it so relaxing to just hang out by the camp fire and socialize with people. I started leading everyone in a couple songs of worship, it was really cool. I thought it would be neat to take some pictures of the camp fire and post on my blog.

Here are some cool pictures that I took:

Its way too early in the morning

Well I am a total BUM-face and pretty got nothing done yesterday, so I have to pretty much stay up all night to finish up my homework. I feel so stupid how much time is wasted in each day. I am horrible at maximizing my time when I am at my dorm. I get like nothing done and then I have to hurry and stay up all night just to barely scrape by with my time...just enough to get done with the task at hand. I was working on this one project, and once I had finished I realized that it 3am and I found now reason to simply sleep for 4 hours when there is no need to. I guess Ill just take a really long nap after all of my classes are over with like 5pm tommorrow. I just make bad decisions about scheduling and utilizing my time. What makes me so frustrated, is the fact that most of my time that was wasted, was not really wasted on bad stuff the whole time. I actually get other good things done, but I still didnt accomplish all of my original goals. I may had the oppurtunity to fellowship with a friend but it wasn't 11:30 till I got home from the movie. Thats just one of the many ways that I have I missused or better yet ineffeciantly used my time. Well its kind of interesting...I working this scripture(memory, Philipians 3: 10-14) . Paul says, "Brothers, I do not consider myslef yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead..." I just found that really interesting, leaving the past behind and straining towards the future. Talk about a goal for persaverance. I have been trying to fully grasp what Paul was talking about, and how can I apply to my life. I really think its awesome to attempt to memorize a passage of scripture and in doing so you learn the context, the meaning and you get to really soak it all in. Well anyways, I'm going to head out, "like a fetus" (Kevin S.) ! I guess I have some homework or whatever to work on the rest of this morning that I have left over, peace out, have a good week everyone, God Bless, Daniel Lloyd
